What you do in Cohavie

Everyday life,
with people worth knowing.

Create your household, shape its daily life and make room for new connections.

Live together

Family, roommates or old friends: choose who lives under your roof and follow their stories, on your own or together.

Create your household

Family, couple, roommates or old friends: bring the people you want under one roof and give each of them a look and a personality of their own.

Everyone plays their own character

Follow whoever you like and swap whenever you want. Characters keep their lives, relationships and history whoever is at the controls.

Invite your friends

Host a game or join a friend’s, even once the story has started. You all live the same days in the same home.

Just as good on your own

Solo and co-op are the same game. Play alone at your own pace, and open the door to a friend whenever you feel like it.

People worth knowing

Personalities that click, habits that annoy and moments that bring people closer. Relationships give every household its own story.

Relationships with more than one side

Friendship, affection, trust and conflict grow separately. Every bond has its own story, from a first hello to a lasting rivalry or romance.

They live when you’re not looking

Characters you don’t control eat, rest, socialise and make their own choices. Step in whenever you want, or just watch.

Personalities that change everything

Traits and tastes shape how each character reacts, chooses and gets along with others. Nobody lives the same moment the same way.

Moments that become memories

The moments that matter stay with each character and colour everything that comes next.

A home you build together

From the first wall to the last piece of furniture, make a home of your own. Start from scratch or use a generated house as a starting point.

Room for your projects

Build the home you want

Walls, floors, stairs, roofs, finishes, furniture and gardens: shape your home room by room, on a budget the whole household shares.

Or let the game build it

Let the game suggest a furnished home. Keep it, try another layout or make it your own.

Share your homes

Export your best builds and welcome other players’ creations into your own neighbourhood.

Make it yours

Furniture, careers, traits, outfits, houses and more: creators can add content without writing code, and share it with the community.

A neighbourhood that lives

Home is just the beginning. Explore the neighbourhood and find a rhythm between work, people and time for yourself. In time, neighbouring households will grow and change too.

Walk out the door

From the kitchen to the garden, the street and the neighbours’ place without a loading screen, under a real day and night cycle.

Work, skills and money

Pick a career, learn skills, climb the ladder and bring money home. The household’s finances are shared, and so are its plans.

Neighbours with lives of their own

Over time, neighbouring households will have routines and plans of their own, with the ability to redecorate, renovate, move and grow as their lives change.

The small rituals of a day

Cook, eat together, rest, read, tinker, garden, waste an evening: ordinary days are where the stories start.

Solo or together

How a shared game works.

One player hosts, everyone chooses a character, and you share a household. Here’s how cooperation is designed to work.

  1. Start a game

Create a household or continue a save. Playing alone? Your game is still ready for a friend to drop in later.

  2. Invite friends

Invite your friends and let them join, even once the game is under way. They find the household exactly as it is.

  3. Share the household

Each player follows a character. Swap when it makes sense, or agree on who follows whom. Nobody owns a character for good.

  4. One shared story

Money, relationships, memories and the house are the same for everyone. What one of you does, the others live with.

Up to four players per session, hosted by one of you. No additional Cohavie account required.

Questions you might have

When can I play?

Cohavie is in development for PC on Steam. There is no release date yet. We plan playtests and a demo before Early Access, and every step will be announced on Discord first.

Can I play alone?

Yes. Solo and co-op are the same game. Playing alone simply means you follow the whole household yourself, and you can still invite a friend later.

How many players?

Up to four players can share one game. One of you hosts and the others join. Your household itself can be as small or as large as your story needs.

What makes Cohavie different?

Cooperation is at the heart of Cohavie: players share a household, build together and follow characters with relationships and memories of their own. The ambition is to create shared stories that extend into neighbourhood life.

What kind of world is it set in?

A dense, semi-open city made up of connected neighbourhoods. The goal is to move from home to garden, street and neighbour without a loading screen.

Will there be mods?

Yes. Local mods are already integrated into the game, and Steam Workshop is in development. Creations focus on content: furniture, careers, traits, clothes, homes and translations.

How will the game be sold?

Our intention is a single purchase with free official updates. No premium currency, no microtransactions, no battle pass. Price and Early Access scope will be shared when they’re decided.

Which languages are supported?

English and French, in the game and on this site. The full list of launch languages will be confirmed closer to release.
